Partner guide

Released is the customer communication platform built on Jira, helping product teams share roadmaps with stakeholders, collect and manage customer feedback, and publish product updates in one place.

Apply to become a partner

Our Partner Program is designed for Atlassian Solution Partners, consultancies, and digital agencies who deliver hands-on implementation work and want to build a Released practice alongside their existing Jira offering.

This is an implementation partner program. We work with partners who guide clients through setup, configuration, and adoption, not resellers. If your value to clients is helping them get real outcomes from Released, this program is for you.

What is Released?

Released is an Atlassian Marketplace app providing the customer communication layer for Jira.

It allows teams to:

  1. Share roadmaps with customers and stakeholders
  2. Collect, manage, and respond to customer and stakeholder feedback
  3. Publish product updates and release notes
  4. Keep Jira as the single source of truth

Why this matters to your customers

Most companies using Jira face the same problem: they plan and build in Jira, but communicate in slides, spreadsheets, or separate tools.

This creates:

  • Duplicate work
  • Outdated information
  • Misalignment between teams and stakeholders
  • Pressure to purchase Jira licenses for non-technical users

Released solves this by turning Jira into a customer-facing communication system. Customers keep their workflow in Jira while sharing controlled, secure views externally.

Stakeholders can access roadmaps and updates without needing a Jira seat. This often saves significant license cost in larger organizations.

Why partner with Released?

Released is an Atlassian Partner of the Year: Marketplace Collaboration award winner with thousands of installs across high-growth product teams worldwide. As companies increasingly use Jira as their system of record, they need a way to turn that internal work into external communication, sharing roadmaps with customers, gathering structured feedback, and keeping stakeholders aligned. Released is the layer that makes that possible.

Bringing Released into an account creates value for your practice, not just the customer.

  1. Expand your services footprint. Work beyond engineering teams and engage product, customer success, sales, and executives. This opens adoption, enablement, and process consulting opportunities.
  2. Reduce enterprise friction. Roadmaps can be shared without Jira licenses, removing a common blocker in approvals and rollout discussions.
  3. Protect and grow Jira usage. Instead of replacing Jira with external tools, customers extend Jira across the organization, strengthening long-term platform retention and expansion.
  4. Differentiate your offering. You provide a complete operating model for product organizations, not just a technical implementation.
  5. Create follow-on work. Replacing slides and disconnected feedback tools leads to workshops, rollout support, communication design, and governance services.
  6. Deliver fast visible wins. Customers can be live in minutes. This helps build trust early in engagements and strengthens relationships.

Ideal client profile

Released is best suited for the following types of clients. Use this to identify opportunities within your existing portfolio:

  • SaaS companies using Jira who need a customer-facing portal for roadmaps, feedback, and product updates
  • Product teams duplicating work across PowerPoint, Notion, or Productboard just to share plans externally. Released consolidates this into Jira.
  • Scale-ups and enterprises that need to align customers, executives, and investors around product direction
  • Jira Product Discovery users who want to close the loop with customers by sharing what’s planned and collecting what they need next
  • Customer success and product operations teams managing feedback across multiple channels who need a structured, centralized inbox
  • Services and consulting organizations who want to share high-level project updates with customers and create an easy-to-manage feedback loop

Released works alongside Jira rather than replacing it, making it a natural fit after any Jira implementation or migration project.
