One board, every space

JPD's board is locked to one JPD space. To span multiple spaces you have to upgrade to Premium and promote every relevant field to a Global Field. BetterBoard puts one configurable board on top of any Jira space — Software, Service, or JPD — and lets a single board span any combination.

Editing on the board, not next to it

JPD's board is mostly read-only — to change a field you open the detail panel. BetterBoard keeps every edit on the card itself: click a chip to update it, select multiple cards to bulk update, ⌘K to do anything else.
